BIMM Institute Berlin and Sample Music Festival 2018 are excited to present a Finger Drumming Masterclass with Tim Kroker, Head of Drums at BIMM Institute Berlin!
Following many years experience as a top live & session drummer, Tim has transformed exercises from the realm of drumming into the pad controller/ finger drumming domain. He is particularly interested in using finger drumming as a creative tool for live performances (solo or with DJs & musicians) or in a studio environment.
This workshop lasts 90mins and also incorporates a Q&A with Tim and BIMM staff afterwards. Some of the topics explored include the following:
Why finger drumming?
How to start?
Working with the single stroke roll - creating fill-ins and grooves
Working with the double stroke roll in a sliced loop context
How to slice a groove and add new sounds
Working with an easy to achieve finger pattern that enables the player to create complex rhythms and grooves.
Held at one of BIMM Institute Berlin's Mac Labs, places are limited, so get your free ticket to this event today through Eventbrite.
